Sid Kapur - Senior Software Engineer

Sid Kapur has worked as a professional computer graphics programmer since 1997. Before joining the illustrious world of video games he used to develop 3D engines and graphics technology for a simulation company. He specialises in 3D Engine Development, Microsoft Xbox 360 Graphics, Sony PlayStation 3 Graphics, libGCMCPU/GPU Performance Optimization, VMX programming, Microsoft DirectX / Direct3D on PCs/Xbox 360, OpenGL.

Designed and developed the firstIllusion simulation engine. The firstIllusion engine replaced the existing rendering technology at ARI, and it consists of a 3D engine and accompanying libraries, a world editor and a set of object importers. The platform has been utilized by ARI to build simulators ranging from Bridge (Navigation) simulators to Crane simulators.

Applied Research International -   August 1997 - June 2001 (3 years 11 months)
Designed and developed a full mission Shipping Simulator using Microsoft Visual C++ and DirectX. Responsibilities included the development of the 3D engine, the Bridge and RADAR simulators, the world editor program, and the sound and networking modules. The simulator has been successfully deployed at many locations around the world.
